Roger works on a wide variety of secured lending and other finance transactions, primarily for lenders and underwriters but also for borrowers and issuers. Roger’s career initially focused on all aspects of real estate collateral for syndicated bank finance and underwritten bond deals and evolved to cover inventory and receivables, equipment, intellectual property, cash and securities accounts, aircraft, rail cars, ships and other specialized collateral. Roger structures, negotiates and closes secured finance transactions for a wide range of U.S., Canadian and European lending clients in different secured lending markets from $15 million to $1.4 billion. Recently, Roger has expanded his practice to encompass bankruptcy and pre-bankruptcy financings, both for lenders and debtors-in-possession.
Roger’s recent transactions include representing lenders in a $35 million term loan and revolving credit line for a prominent New York dairy, a $75 million revolving credit line for a distributor of home appliances, and a $235 million financing for a major music industry company.
Before entering private practice, Roger was a clerk to the Hon. Edith Frankel of the Massachusetts Appeals Court.
